Sunday May 29th, 2011 we hosted a Balkan Dance Party with live music provided by the VFO (Village Folk Orkestra). We dedicated this party in memory of our friend and fellow folk dancer Viola Herman (shown in photo to left) who passed away last fall. The party was a great success, despite sharing the Memorial Day weekend with numerous other events (such as the Sacramento Jazz Festival, the Statewide Folkdance Festival, and ACME Theater Company's wonderful production of "A Servant of Two Masters"). If you were there, thanks for joining us. If you missed it - we'll have another party in the future, so plan to join us next time!
